Overview

Heard is a female-owned PR & Marketing startup based in Birmingham in the UK. They specialise in creating marketing and communication strategies for creative products, agencies and businesses who believe their exciting product and service deserves exposure and attention. 

They are young company with most of their staff including their CEO being under 35 and they have a disruptive and challenger mindset in how they deliver their work for their clients. 

Being a marketing company, they needed an eye catching, disruptive identity that would match the team's personality, appeal to their youthful clientele and stand out from the many competitors working in this landscape.

My approach to the brief
I focused on creating bold elements to help show the strong nature of the brand. To connect with the modern and youthful nature of the brand, I used a clean sans serif typeface together with a chat comment icon. I used this as a foundation to design illustrations and other assets for the brand. 

For the palette, I chose a strong orange and paired it with a moderate purple tint which creates the feeling of energy and vibrance. These, together with some monochrome colour choices helped complete the brands colour palette.
